Looking for the most pet friendly hotel chains? Sure, vacation is all about treating yourself and your pup. But sometimes, you want to have a great experience without breaking the bank. Hotels that allow dogs can seem tough to come across, but we’ve done the digging for you.

For those who want to have fun AND keep their bank account healthy while traveling with their dog, here are 26 hotel chains that will also welcome your furry friend like family.

26 Hotel Chains That Are Dog-Friendly And Won’t Break The Bank

1. Red Roof Inn

Hotels that allow dogs are few and far-fetched. With Red Roof Inn you never have to worry. As one of the few hotel chains that don’t charge a fee for your pet guest, Red Roof Inn prides itself on its pet-friendly policy. Their website provides a link out to a search function to find local dog parks near where you’re staying, and they have an entire Facebook page devoted to their love of all things four legged and furry.

2. Motel 6

Pets are welcome at this economy hotel classic, as long as they are well-behaved. There is a limit of 2 pets per room, however, and check to see if there is a fee.

3. Days Inn

Days Inn is another hotel chain that is known for welcoming pets. Each individual motel however makes their own policy, so be sure to contact them and confirm your pup is okay, and to check on any specific policies they may have. While the days inn pet policy may change at each location, the motel is known for making sure you and your pup feel right at home.

4–7. Marriott: Residence Inn, Townplace Suites, Courtyard, Renaissance Hotels

Marriott’s hotels in general are pet-friendly. As one of the few hotels that accept pets, Marriott hotels makes a special effort to be one of the most dog friendly hotel chains you can book. Again, call ahead to make sure to see what the specific pet policies (and amenities) are, and whether there are any breed or weight restrictions, as well as any fees that may apply.

8. Travelodge

The majority of Travelodge’s locations accept pets. Refer to the hotel’s specific website for more information on their policies, or, barring that, give ’em a call.

9. La Quinta Inns & Suites

La Quinta doesn’t require a deposit for you to stay with your pet, though they do ask you sign a pet policy agreement. The limit is 2 pets per room. As one of the few great hotels that accept dogs, they have a section of their site with helpful travel safety tips for you and your pup.

10. Loews Hotels

Loews not only allows your pup to stay with you, but they also have a Pets program. When you check in with your pup, you receive a name tag, bowl, treats, and a sign indicating that your room has a pet-in-residence (but do remember to bring your dog bed!). They also have lots of amenities available to your pup, including a dog room service menu. There is a limit of 2 pets to a room, and make sure to call ahead of any fees that may apply. Additionally, each Loews Hotel requires proof of up-to-date vaccinations.

11. Candlewood Suites

Candlewood asks that if you book online, you do also call ahead and let the specific location know about your pup. Pet Fees do apply, and pets that weigh more than 80 lbs are unfortunately not allowed. Candlewood properties also require proof of up-to-date vaccinations for all pets.

12–20. Choice Hotels

Under the umbrella of Choice Hotels (Comfort Inn and Suites, Econo Lodge, Rodeway Inn, Mainstay Suites, Quality Inn, Sleep Inn & Suites, Suburban Extended Stay Hotels, Clarion Inn & Suites, Ascend Hotel Collection), each location may have different policies. Rodeway Inn and Sleep Inn & Suites. Same goes for Econo Lodge, Check via Choice’s search function on their site for individual locations. I always struggle to find hotels near me that allow pets so Choice Hotels is a lifesaver when it come to me and my pups travel needs.

21–23. IHG: Holiday Inn, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Hotel Indigo

Owned by IHG, a majority of their properties welcome pups as your guest. Locations and specific hotels might have different rules, so make sure to call ahead.

24. Vantage Hotels:

Hotels that take dogs can be hard to find. Vantage Hotel (Lexington by Vantage, Canada’s Best Value Inn and America’s Best Value Inn, Value Inn Worldwide) properties offer penalty of options both in the US and Canada for you and your pups needs. Most are pet friendly, but definitely call ahead to make sure!

25. Novotel

Looking for motels that allow pets around the country? Novotel has your back. Most of their pet-friendly hotel properties are in Canada, but they do have one (New York) in the U.S. as well.

26. Extended Stay America

Most Extended Stay America properties allow pets. They also limit guests to 2 pets per room, a $150 + tax cleaning fee, as well as a $25 + tax pet fee. Some restrictions on breed, size and weight may differ from location to location, so contact prior to your stay.
