**Update March 10, 2016**

The hunt is over for Atlas the rabbit’s forever home! The Scottish SPCA revealed that they received hundreds of applications for the giant bun, and he is now the happy new family member to Jen Hislop from Ayrshire. Jen tells the rescue:

I burst into tears when I got the phone call saying I had been chosen to rehome Atlas and I cried again when I collected him. Animals are just pets to some people but my rabbits are family members. Atlas is an absolute hoot and doesn’t stop running around unless he’s crashed out on his massive beanbag.

And get this: he even has a stroller. And a summer house. That’s one spoiled bunny! We’re also fond of the name “Attila the Bun,” so thanks for that smile today. Atlas has full run of the house and his own garden enclosure, and was so very lucky to find a home right in Scotland.

Congratulations to Atlas and his new family! Now they just need to teach him to fetch, and they’ll have the longest-eared dog on the planet.

We know dogs and cats can be besties, but sometimes they can also be enemies. Why risk it? Get your pup a BFF like no other and adopt a giant rabbit.

A lot of people are inclined to do that very thing thanks to Atlas the seven-month-old giant continental rabbit rescued by the Scottish SPCA. He’s practically the only thing the internet is talking about today—which is a pretty big deal considering it’s the day after the Super Bowl.

But rabbits like Atlas need special homes with an experienced owner who can handle this type of animal. The Scottish SPCA says that Atlas is extremely loving, but he also has a mischievous streak to his fluffball personality.

You can check out more of this pup…. umm… er… rabbit, in the below video:

We hope Atlas finds a forever family soon and ends up in a house with a dog, because we really need an Atlas + Doggie Instagram account in our lives.
