Rescuers found Norman the Pit Bull chained to a wall with barely any fur, skin infections, and protruding bones. His tail still wagged at the sight of food, signaling he had managed to have hope even throughout a life of complete neglect. He had a difficult time standing, and he was found to be blind and mostly deaf. Norman’s rescuer at AMA Animal Rescue in Brooklyn, New York said he had been abused and neglected for 10 years.

But after several months of intensive exercise and medical treatments, Norman gained some weight and learned to walk around a little more easily. And when it came time for him to leave his foster home and enter his forever home, Norman had found the human of his dreams.
