It struck a chord with me because I’ve thought of doing the exact same thing multiple times. Not just that, but when I’m on a late night walk with my dog, I make sure I hold the doo-doo filled poop bag out so passersby can see that I’m carrying poop. It’s my way of letting them know that they are most definitely going to get poop in their face in the event that they try something funny.

When I was talking to my coworkers about it, many of the women said they’d thought of doing something like it themselves.

As a woman, being harassed or catcalled is not anything new. It’s just a way of life that we’ve come to accept as unavoidable. Walking our dog brings a small amount of comfort and security, making street harassment a bit more bearable.

Take the poll below to see how many women out there are thinking the same way you do.
