Super Touching Photos Are A Bittersweet Reminder We Won’t Have Our Best Friends Forever

When Amanda Jones took her first snap of her beloved Dachshund Lily, she most likely had no idea it would become a passion project that could span decades.

In her new book “Dog Years”, Jones has compiled stunning side-by-side portraits of the same dogs photographed when they were puppies and again when they are much older.

Although these photos present us with the heartbreaking reality that our beloved best friends won’t always be with us, they also show us that every age is beautiful and that the spirit of a puppy lives on in every senior dog.
