Siberian Huskies – and other kinds of Huskies, for that matter! – are highly intelligent and extremely active dogs. They can also howl with the best of them! While we haven’t figured out a way to help huskies play bass and sing in a local band, we listed plenty of toys that will have huskies howling with joy.
To keep huskies busy, we’ll take a look at: toys with a surprise inside, puzzles, and Super Chewer toys.
Huskies are known to be hyper-focused, which means they will be looking for a way to open toys in record speed. A more durable toy option for a husky are Super Chewer toys from BarkShop. Super Chewer toys are always fluff-free and are made with tough materials like nylon and rubber.
If you want a regular delivery of tough toys for your heavy-chewing husky, the Super Chewer BarkBox could be an awesome option for you. The Super Chewer version of the BarkBox has fun monthly themes and original products but with the added benefit of having toys that are virtually indestructible. It’s made for the pups who want a bit more of a challenge for their teeth – and for you humans who are sick of throwing away destroyed toys five minutes after getting them.
If your husky is more gentle on their toys, the original BarkBox might be your best bet. With its creative monthly themes, top-quality products (all of them designed and made in-house), and incredible customer service, BarkBox is a great time for pups who love toys and treats. BarkBox also tailors each delivery to your husky based on size, needs, and wants. Plus, all of the edibles are free from wheat, corn, and soy, and—most importantly—they taste delicious.
Cost: $29 for 1 month, $25 for 6 months, or $20 for 12 months.
Puzzles are great toys for huskies to use their sharp brains. The first few times that a husky is using their puzzle, let them see you hiding treats in the slots. This will help a husky visualize how each part of the puzzle works. Then once your husky catches on, set up the puzzle somewhere they cannot see which slots treats are hidden in.
If your husky has a habit of chewing, wooden puzzles like the Dog Hide n’ Slide will last longer than puzzles made with plastic. This is primarily because the plastic pieces would be more prone to not fitting exactly back in place if a pup nibbles on them.
Toys With A Surprise:
The first time a husky tries out a toy with a surprise inside, they are going to be hooked! Huskies naturally enjoy finding new ways to open toys. So, having a toy with multiple layers will keep them engaged and make for a longer lasting toy. Consuela The Cactus, pictured below, will make for a new, entertaining and interactive challenge.
Additionally, Mutta Morphing Butterfly is another exciting toy on BarkShop, that will have a surprise waiting for pups.
