There is NO ONE I enjoy spending money on more than my dog, and if you feel the same way, congrats. You’re a dog person. Her leashes and collars are nicer than my clothes, and she has more treats than I do snacks in the pantry. But I digress. If you’re nosing around for some A-plus goods for the dogs and dog-lovin’ humans in your life, you’ve just dug up the holy grail.
My Shoodles are by far the most-loved shoes I own. I call them my “dog walking shoes,” not because they aren’t great for other things, but because they’re so comfortable I actually WANT to walk longer, and my dog never turns her nose up at that.
We teamed up with the folks at Bucketfeet to design these dog doodle-covered kicks with massing nubs under the toes and a squishy bubble under the heel. No one will ever doubt your love for dogs again. Also available in grey!
You’ll have zero trouble finding a bed that matches your home decor, because these comfy orthopedic loungers come in a wide variety of colors. The mattress itself is great for pups with aching joints, or puppies who just need a good night’s rest, and the bolsters provide cozy support for their head and neck.
This is no mere tote bag, folks, this is the Dog Person bag. It’s constructed with reinforced seams, a durable ballistic nylon base, an easy-to-clean nylon-lined treat pocket, and a built-in poop bag holder. But that’s just the bag.
An attachable fool-proof poop bag dispenser clips right on to the handles with 6 rolls of poop poetry bags included—just wait till you see them. You’ll also get a nylon-lined ball bag that easily flips inside-out so you can grab gross, slobbery tennis balls without actually touching them. Just flip it back (like a poop bag) to stow them inside and close with a drawstring. Oh, and you get 4 of the best tennis balls ever.
Made of solid (and responsibly-sourced) pine, these elegant elevated feeders look great in any kitchen, and they can provide some relief for aching joints. Both stainless steel bowls are food-grade, and the wood itself is coated in a water-resistant seal.
Cooler weather means walks in the wind, rain, snow, and frigid temps for you and your dog, but only one is bundled up against the elements. These Fab Dog puffer jackets are reversible with a velcro strap under the belly, and they’ll keep your pup snug when things get chilly. The outer fabric is nylon stuffed with a poly fill, and you can toss it in the wash to clean and lie flat to dry.
Everything’s better down where it’s wetter, a wise crab once sang, and he’s certainly got the gist of it with this 4-pack of nautical toys. They may be tough on the outside, but inside they’re full of fluff, squeakers, and a whole lot of fun for dogs that can’t help but destroy those they love.
This crew includes: Lanky Larry the Lobster, Tubular Tucker the Turtle, Horseshoed Horace the Crab, and Homebody Homer the Crab, all of whom emerged from 20 leagues under the sea just to make your dog happy. You can check out the rest of the Under the Seams collection here!
It’s easy to forget that your dog should be strapped in too when you set off for the dog park. This car seat straps easily onto most seats, and includes a seat belt tether that clips to your dog’s harness (never connect to a collar!) and your car’s seat belt system.
The “bucket” seat’s material is water and drool-proof, and the metal supports ensure it keeps its shape to keep your dog safe.
Either indoors with a blanket thrown on top or out in the sun, elevated beds like these are great for keeping dogs from getting too hot. The breathable fabric is suspended over the ground to cradle pressure points, and its doubly perfect for resisting parasites & mold. Both the fabric and frame washes clean easily.
If you’ve ever stopped short with your dog in the backseat, you know that that usually means they end up on the floor. While I highly recommend fitting dogs with a harness and securing it to a seat belt tether, a bridge that prevents them from tumbling to the floor offers a great deal more peace of mind. This backseat bridge will also guard against claw marks, hair, and drool, and the barrier (with a storage pocket!) keeps dogs from hopping into the front seat.
Some dogs *cough* hounds *cough* take it upon themselves to accept all challenges put forth to stop them from getting loose, and it’s up to us to keep track of where they are. The Whistle pet tracker attaches to your dog’s collar and sends their whereabouts and activity levels directly to your smartphone. It’s also completely waterproof, works across thousands of miles, and has a battery life of up to 7 days.
If there’s anything all dog people can agree on, it’s that dogs in need deserve just as much love as the ones under our roof. You can help the ASPCA fight animal cruelty, abuse, and neglect by donating any amount—no donation is too small, and it’s always tax-deductible. The ASPCA and every animal they save depends entirely on donations from big-hearted people like you.
