What Are The Dogs That Bark The Most?

Dog Breeds That Bark The Most

These breeds are loud and could care less if you want them to be quiet. If you need a dog to vent with or gossip, then you should chat with these guys.

    1. Chihuahua
    2. Bloodhound
    3. Basset Hound
    4. German Shepherd
    5. Beagle
    6. Yorkshire Terrier
    7. Scottish Terrier
    8. Minature Schnauzer
    9. Siberian Husky
    10. Cairn Terriers
    11. Dachshund
    12. West Highland Terrier

There are plenty of breeds that are known for being loud, and unless you want a guard dog, then you might want to consider this when getting a new pup. Noisy pets can be a pain in the you know what, and these guys are the loudest in many ways– and have the bark to prove it.

1. Chihuahua

Oftentimes referred to as “yappy dogs”, they may be small but they have a big personality and plenty to say about it.

2. Bloodhound

They bark and howl excessively and they DO NOT care.  If there is a rabbit in the backyard or suspicious shadow around the corner, they will let you know. Hounds. Gotta love that in-bred trait to not stfu.

3. Basset Hound

Used for tracking and hunting, they become distracted by different scents and sounds, but don’t worry, they will let you know when they have found what they are looking for with a howling bark.

4. German Shepherd

As one of the best guard dogs, they are bred to guard and let you know when something isn’t right – but not quietly.

5. Beagle

They will bark when you walk in the door, at a plastic bag and when strangers walk past the house – they just want you to know.

6. Yorkshire Terrier

Sure they’re small, but they’re a part of the Terrier family and they don’t know when to tone down their bark. They think they are bigger than they are and aren’t afraid to yap to the mailman, the Great Dane at the dog park, your shadow, or even their shadow.

7. Scottish Terrier

These pups do not yip and yap, they BARK. Scottish Terriers have a powerful bark, and it’s a lot louder than you think.

8. Miniature Schnauzer

Bushy eyebrows and a walrus-like mustache might make him look like a harmless goofball, but the Miniature Schnauzer enjoys talking trash to bigger dogs.

9. Siberian Husky

Siberian Huskies always have a lot to say. You can catch Siberian Huskies on the internet singing, saying “I love you!” and probably howling alongside emergency sirens.

10. Cairn Terrier

The Cairn is a Terrier through and through and it’s impossible to stop them doing what they do best: chasing, digging and barking. We warned you.

11. Dachshund

Dachshunds have loud, deep barks for a dog their size – and they do like to bark! Think of them as your over-opinionated mother-in-law. Exactly.

12. West Highland White Terrier (aka Westie)

Is that a fly? What about a squirrel? Did he just see you 10 seconds ago? Yes and yes. A Westie will bark and alert you about everything.

But keep in mind…
