It’s the age old question: who is cuter? Puppies or kittens?
The question was posed to some adorable babies of the human variety and, thank Dog, we can finally put this matter to bed.
Apparently, the hooman fondness for things that make them go “awww” is a hardwired evolutionary trait that starts popping up in psychological development as early as three years old.
And to top that off, a recent UK study conducted by the University of Lincoln with children aged three to six found that by and large the toddlers preferred dogs.
Marta Borgi, who led the study, said: “Interestingly, while participants gave different cuteness scores to dogs, cats and humans, they all found the images of adult dog faces cuter than both adult cats and human faces.”
So even though you may switch to a feline allegiance when you get older, at least now, science has proven that everyone starts out a dog person.
When it comes to introducing your tiny hooman to your dog, there are many precautions to consider. Always make sure kids and pups are pawperly supervised. 🙂
