As technology becomes more and more important in hooman lives, it’s about time someone designed smart technology for our pups. Squeaker, a pet tech company based in Australia, has come up with Buddy, the smart collar. It tells you literally everything that you could ever want to know about your dog’s daily activities.
The collar has many of the same features as a hooman fitness tracker, like activity tracking, GPS tracking, bluetooth connectivity, an OLED display, an accelerometer, a light sensor, a temperature sensor, and is 100% waterproof. You can set and share goals to get you and your pup in shape in no time! The collar also features a ring of LED RGB lighting to keep your dog safe and in sight at night (rainbow unicorn, anyone?).
The app (for iOS and Android) allows pet parents to keep track of their pooch’s daily activities, as well as an alert if your dog goes outside a designated area, a food scanner to track what your dog is eating, and calendar alerts so you never miss another puppy play date again! You can also control the collar lighting functions from your phone.
If you want to get really high-tech, you can connect the Buddy collar to the thermostat in your house, and it will automatically adjust when your dog becomes too hot or too cold… crazy!
The Buddy collar comes in small, medium, and large and is priced at $180.
