Dog’s Tragic Death Inspires Locals To Line Roads With Reward Fliers And Stuffed Animals

Dekalb County, GA residents are deliberately drawing attention to the hanging of a young Pit Bull in hopes of catching the individual who committed the crime. A mother and her 2-year-old son were the first to witness the gruesome sight on their way to daycare one morning, and now it is everyone’s mission to find the person responsible.

In a motion of remembrance and public outcry, the community secured a crowd of stuffed animals along the roadway near the scene, and fliers have been posted offering a $10,000 reward for information.

“I walk past here every day and it’s sad,” says Felicia Clark, who walks along Kelly Lake Road frequently with her 9-year-old daughter.

Unfortunately, someone continues to tear down the fliers, and people suspect that the accused lives in the neighborhood and is trying to avoid capture. Well, the fliers continue to go up and residents are urging everyone to speak up despite fear of retaliation.

With or without the reward incentive, Clark intends to be especially observant on her walks from now on, adding that she is certain this person will be caught. With any luck and the support of an entire community, he (or she) will be identified very soon.
