Rescue Wolves Are Helping Veterans Heal From The Wounds Of War

We know that dogs help veterans cope with PTSD, but what about other canines? The Lockwood Animal Rescue Center in California is proving that wolves can do the same thing as their canine cousins with their Warriors and Wolves program.

All of the wolves and wolf-dogs at the center are rescues, many of them come from places where they spent years shackled outdoors. They are suffering from trauma, but they aren’t alone. In the Warriors and Wolves program, veterans spend time the formerly abused animals and form a lasting bond with the canines that helps both of them heal.
