Two-year-old Brutus the Rottweiler lost all four of his paws to frostbite and a botched amputation. He’s able to get around the house just fine on his “peg legs” but his foster mom Laura Aquilina has bigger plans for the pup.
OrthoPets, a company from Denver, created prosthetic legs for the quadruple amputee. The company provides prosthetics for about 250 animals a year worldwide.
With the help of Aquilina and OrthoPets, Brutus is learning to walk again. Aquilina hopes he’ll be able to run, play with other dogs, and do normal doggie things. It looks like it won’t be too long!
