Thanks to the incredible compassion of the folks at The Mr. Mo Project, three dogs surrendered to the Animal Care Centers of NYC have a second chance for a happy ending. Giant, a 12-year-old Cocker Spaniel/Poodle mix, and Daisy, a 13-year-old Chihuahua mix were selected by the rescue group that focuses on senior dogs, just in the nick of time. They were both scheduled for euthanasia yesterday.
Their little brother, Charlie, a 6-year-old purebred Chihuahua, was also taken in by The Mr. Mo Project despite his young age. They couldn’t bear to separate the trio because they are clearly quite attached and bonded to one another. After being abandoned together and rescued together, volunteers at the Mr. Mo Project now hope that these sweet pooches will be fostered together, too.
All three dogs have been professionally examined for medical conditions and evaluated for behavioral issues. Charlie is quite healthy, while Daisy and Giant have common senior pet conditions such as arthritis, dental disease and cataracts. The behavioral analysis noted that the trio were all extremely friendly and outgoing, jumping up on the staff to be petted.
If you have room in your heart and home for these three cuties, send an email to [email protected]. The rescuers will arrange for transportation of Giant, Daisy and Charlie when the perfect foster pawrents are found. Even better, the folks at The Mr. Mo Project will cover ALL veterinary expenses for the dogs for the remainder of their lives!
