This is 7-year-old bundle of love Mickey:

Mickey’s case is very special. When he first arrived at the Lethbridge and Distinct Humane Society in Alberta, Canada, he weighed a mere 35 pounds. That’s because Mickey has a problem with his esophagus, as it does not contract properly to allow food and water to enter his system. This makes it nearly impossible for Mickey to eat by himself, so the shelter staff (or as I’ve started referring to them, heroes) set up a Bailey chair for Mickey to sit in during meal times.

The chair is built so that Mickey can sit upright, allowing the staff to spoon-feed him his special meal consisting of wet food, pumpkin puree, and ground kibble.

Since being taken in by the Lethbridge and Distinct Humane Society two years ago, Mickey has packed on more than 15 pounds and is looking for his forever home. He needs to be taken in by someone who is willing to give Mickey all of the love and special attention this happy and lovable pup’s condition requires.

If you know someone who would be interested in adopting Mickey, call 403-320-8991 or contact the Lethbridge and Distinct Humane Society directly.
