When this Canadian couple took a trip to Memphis to celebrate Elvis’s birthday, they had no idea that their trip to the Home of the Blues would potentially become just that.
While Lorie and Terry Traviss were their trip, a man broke into their vehicle and dognapped their Yorkshire Terrier Dixie!
The couple was understandably distraught. Fortunately however, the Memphis community banded together, and along with the police department were able to track down the dognappers and reunite Dixie with her rightful pup parents!
Not only that, but the Mayor of Memphis made Dixie an honorary member of the city’s K-9 unit, and gave the Traviss family a key to the city!
