Dogs can be really smart and they learn a lot of tricks and behaviors. One thing that’s universally difficult to teach dogs is not to play in traffic. If a dog is afraid, it will run anywhere, even onto a busy highway. This often ends in tragedy, but it didn’t for one pup who was on the lamb in Fort Worth, Texas.
Motor Officer Shiderly spotted a dog on the run I-30 and raced to catch him. Thanks to Officer Shiderly, the dog is now safe with animal control where people are searching for his owners.
