Dogs Dethrone Cats As Rulers Of The Internet

Pshhhhh…

This upcoming exhibit at the Museum Of Moving Image bothers me.

First, let me say… I don’t hate cats. I don’t. They make me sneeze like a motherpupper, and they’ve scratched the crap out of me more times than I’d like, but I don’t actually dislike them.

Alas, the cat vs. dog debate has been around since the beginning of time. Puppies are from Mars, and pussies are from Venus… or something.

I’m so head-over-heels in love with dogs, it’s impawsible for me not to pick a side. I’m also from Boston so it’s wicked hahd for me not to be a little competitive.

And this whole, “cats rule the internet” thing is really stahtin’ to grind my gee-ahs! (Sorry, I type in a Boston accent when I’m mad…)

I know that cats have dominated the scene since the dawning of the Internet, but that’s just because it was the frigging 90s! The 90s was a cat. Angsty, apathetic, bored… Grungy.

But times they are a-changing! Everyone got through the 00s okay, (except Ashlee Simpson) and canines are the NOW! It’s the dawning of the age of A-canine!

Yes, the Keyboard Cat video is a undeniably fabulous…

…but, are you kidding me dogs welcoming home soldiers!? I’m weeping.

And maybe you’ve seen cats with bread on their heads, but they pale in comparison to all the Stuff On Scout’s Head!

And yes, Lil Bub is extraordinary, but our dogs are starting to talk.
