Now there are TWO Dollys who’ve run away with our hearts…
Dolly (the dog) was found hiding among one of the 5,000 tents discarded at the closing of Glastonbury Festival . The clean-up crew was quite taken with the white Lurcher pup and named her “Dolly” in pawnor of festival favorite, Dolly Parton.
Dog Dolly is being well-looked after at Happy Landings animal shelter and will not be re-homed there until her health issues are cleared up and the shelter staff has determined whether or not she has an owner. If no one claims her, Grammy-winning Dolly has offered to give her canine namesake a home!
“I had my manager call the Happy Landings animal shelter to make sure the dog is being treated and cared for properly,” says the singer. “At this time, nobody has claimed the dog and the dog is in great hands at the shelter. I will take her home to America if nobody claims her within a reasonable amount of time.”
Living with Dolly Parton? That would be music to any pup’s ears! High paws for steppin’ up to the plate for this sweet pooch!
