As one of the Vicktory dogs, Handsome Dan and his crew work tirelessly to give other pups a second chance at happiness through fostering. This month, the lucky pup to join the Handsome Dan family is Winnie, the one-eyed foster Pittie pup.
The 9-week-old Pit Bull puppy was given to Providence Animal Rescue League (PARL) when her humans couldn’t afford her care, and Handsome Dan’s Rescue swooped in to help by fostering the sweet baby.
Can you believe my mama had the nerve to bring a little foster puppy home today?

Although her eye was removed, Winnie is experiencing life to the fullest as a loved foster pup who just wants to grab all the treats for herself.
To help Winnie have the best possible chance at a happy forever home, the Handsome Dan team is working hard at socializing the pup, giving her as much playtime with other dogs as her little body can handle.
In the short time she’s been with the Handsome Dan family, her surgery scar has healed considerably and she’s adjusting well to her new temporary home.
As a condition of her adoption, her future family will be required to enroll little Winnie in Outbound Hounds Pits and Pals Canine Life and Social Skills (C.L.A.S.S), a program dedicated to educating and supporting owners and their beloved dogs about positive training and socialization techniques. The program is provided free of charge to all shelter pups thanks to a pawtnership with Handsome Dan Rescue.
Look who came to Pits and Pals C.L.A.S.S. today. Winnie is off to Stephanie’s house for more socialization this weekend.
