A little bit ago, a few of us at Team BarkBox took a little trip from our home in NYC to sunny Los Angeles to the NKLA Super Pet Adoption to give out BarkBoxes to every rescue pup that got a new home that weekend.
NKLA stands for “No-Kill Los Angeles.” It is a movement to make Los Angeles a no-kill city and get all of the adoptable pets the warm and ruving home they deserve.
Last year more than 13,000 adoptable animals were killed in LA city shelters. NKLA is the movement fighting to get that number to zero. (YEAHH!!!)
At the event in Los Angeles, there were rows and rows of puppehs looking for a new home.
There were small fuzzy pups…
…curious pups…
…Pug pups…
…mutt pups…
…one-eyed pups… [ERMGHERD!]
…fancy pups…
…sleepy pups…
…sweatered pups…
…wide-eyed pups…
…squinty pups…
… and pups really, really in need of some ruv and a cozy bed. [♥♥♥]
There were some pups who were generous with [French? ;)] kisses…
…We took the greatest film photo in the history of film photos…
…and some pups who were looking for some sun shelter under the BarkBox table. [hehe!]
There were dog-ruvin’ kids with awesome t-shirts…
… And sa-WEET Border Collie earrings.
But the best parts? 1.) We got to snuggle some pups…
2.) And lots of four-legged ruvs got brand new homes.

…And these two little ladies found a new best friend. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Over the entire Super Pet Adoption, there were so many families that adopted a new furry kidlet…
… lifelong friendships began…
…And the furballs went home to a new bed with a belly full of treats and a BarkBox full of toys.
