Harley, the 2015 American Hero Dog, is on his way to Washington- and he’s asking for a meeting with the President.
As you may know, Harley spent the first ten years of his life in a puppy mill, subjected to brutal living conditions and suffering life-altering physical ailments, including permanently bent bones and even the loss of his eye. But since his rescue 4 years ago, he has finally gotten a chance to experience health and well being in a loving home. Now, he’s become the face of the movement to fight back against puppy mills.
On October 21st, Harley will attend a Congressional Briefing with the American Humane Association and lobby Congress to stand against puppy mills. In a video he recently released on YouTube, Harley makes an earnest request to pawsonally meet with President Obama and discuss this important issue.
Harley’s appearance on Capitol Hill is a week away. You can learn more about Harley’s campaign at his website. And if you’d like to encourage your representatives to stand with Harley, you can reach out to them using the contact info here: for the House of Representatives and for the Senate.
