Heroic Human Crawls Through Dangerous 60 Ft Pipe To Rescue Stranded Dog

What started out as a lighthearted game of catch soon turned into a nightmare when a family dog in Steamboat Springs, CO got stuck in a pipe. Thankfully, dedicated animal control officer, Krista Amatuzio, crawled the entire way through the tube to free the pooch, named Kia. A fellow officer’s body cam captured the moment Krista and Kia emerged from the pipe.

Police Chief Cory Christensen told Steamboat Today that Amatuzio emerged from the pipe covered in cobwebs. She and the dog were also both drenched.

Kia has been reunited with her family and Christensen has praised Amatuzio, telling Steamboat Today:

It was great work on Krista’s part to help this family.

We thought it was pretty great too. Fetch on, pupper! Just not near any more pipes.
