On-Duty Officer Responds To Routine Call, Ends Up Adopting A Puppy

When the Florida based rescue Panhandle Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) received threats from a former employee, they called the police. Officer Montgomery responded and he got more than he bargained for. He fell in love, puppy love to be specific.

Someone abandoned a box of puppies outside of the shelter, leaving them in freezing temperatures for an entire night. Officer Montgomery’s life changed forever when he held one of the puppies. He posted on Imgur:

She brings me this lil’ guy, chill, no whining, no barking, just chill. So I get to hold him and he immediately curls up in my arms.

Sounds like the puppy fell in love immediately, as well.

Someone else had to fall in love with the puppy, too—Officer Montgomery’s four year old dog named Vader. Montgomery adopted Vader from PAWS.

To help Vader and the new puppy get along, Montgomery and his girlfriend, Kristen Hope Martin, named their new family member Kylo, after the character in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, who is also Darth Vader’s grandson. it seemed to do the trick because the duo have already bonded.

I'd say Vader and Kylo are getting along pretty well ♡

We wish all four members of this family the happiest of times – but we hope the pups don’t convince the humans to go over to the darkside.
