Paralyzed Stray Dog Is A Crying, Immobile Mess…Until He Gets A Wheelchair

When 3-year-old Tommy, a stray dog in India, became paralyzed in his hind legs after a road accident, veterinarian Dr. Madan Kompal set out to help Tommy walk again.

What Tommy needed was a wheelchair but what makes his new set of wheels extra special is that Dr. Kompal created it himself. As quoted in the Express, Dr. Kompal stated:

It is my own invention. The customized cart can be easily fixed and dismantled just by tightening or loosening a clip. The height, width and length of the cart can be adjusted as per the dog’s convenience.

Prior to his wheelchair, Tommy can be seen lying on the ground, whining and unable to move. As soon as Dr. Kompal fits him with his new wheelchair, though, a huge smile spreads across Tommy’s face.

Thanks to Dr. Kompal’s kindness and ingenuity, Tommy is now strolling around with an attitude as bright as his big yellow wheels.
