If you ever look at your Pit Bull, lovingly and think, “There should be a society just based on loving you!” – we’ve got news! There is! The Pit Bull Appreciation Society (PBAS), created by team BarkGood, is now officially a thing! The Pit Bull Appreciation Society is dedicated to raising positive awareness for bully breed dogs and getting ALL Pit Bulls into loving forever homes.

On October 25, National Pit Bull Awareness Day, BarkGood rolled out the New York Branch of this society with our first PBAS partner organization: Animal Care & Control of New York City. The perks are plentiful! If you adopt a pit bull from any of the NYC AC&C locations (Manhattan, Brooklyn or Staten Island), you will received the following:

#1- PIBBLE KISSES FOREVER AND EVER. You will be rewarded for welcoming a pit bull into your fam a-million-fold with snuggles, snorts, wiggle butts, sloppy kisses and more joy than you can handle!

#2 – A free Pit Bull Approved BarkBox! We will send you a Pit Bull Appreciation Society BarkBox complete with 4-6 delicious treats and fun toys for your new pack member.

#3 – Lifetime membership to the Pit Bull Appreciation Society, which comes with a very official pin and tons of dog-loving clout.

Our challenge to you dear reader – are you in NYC and looking for a new pack member? Know someone in/near NYC that could use a big pittie smile in their life? Help us get these three Pit Bulls adopted by next week, and we’ll send each adopter home with a year of BarkBox goodies and make sure these three are spoiled real good for a long while.

Ryan:

Ryan is a seven month old BarkBuddy looking for a loving adopter that wants to play, run, fetch and chill with their new forever Pittie!

P.S. Did you know over 200 adoption groups work with the city shelter to get our cities’ dogs adopted? Here’s a list of these very important organizations – together we can save all the pitties that need us!
