Frank, an 8-month-old Terrier mix stray, has had a very ruff first few months of life. Born on the streets, Frank (named after the patron saint of animals St. Francis of Assisi) was shot not once, but five times in Chester, Delaware. But despite his horrific wounds, all Frank wants to do is share the love. Describes police officer James Nolan V, who helped rescue the pup:

“He was in bad shape… [yet] he wagged his tail and licked my hands, the friendliest dog in the world.”

Humane officer Russell Wayne Harper received similar affection:

“Shot five times and bleeding out all over the place, he just wanted to give kisses.”

While the loving canine is still in recovery and rescuers hope he can soon go to a furever home, officers search for the person or persons responsible for shooting Frank. If you can help, contact Chester police headquarters at 610-447-7908 or call 911.
