This adorable Lhasa-Poodle mix was born without front legs. Now he is learning how to walk faster than my 10 month old cousin.
The 12-week-old, aptly named Scooter, scoots across the floor like a champ. To avoid injury to his chest, Pitty Paws Bully Rescue and Dr. Julie Mayer are teaching him to walk with the help of some pretty nifty props.
I call this one ‘The Water Wing.’ With the help of some peanut butter, Scooter learns how to balance on his hind legs.
I call this one, ‘The Best Day in Gym Class Device.’ Mobility carts are popular tools for dogs with missing limbs. (see @TurboRoo) This little cart is training Scooter to wheel around like the best of ‘em!
Basically Scooter’s physical therapy sessions look like the most fun things I did as a kid.
Work the runway, Scoot!
