“Home at last” takes on a whole new meaning for Penny, the Vizsla puppy that was mistaken for a stray and picked up by a trucker near her home in Quincy, Washington over two weeks ago.
Together with the kind trucker, she managed to make her way across the country all the way to Pittsburgh before she was dropped off at a rescue shelter there. Penny’s worried pawrents harnessed the power of social media to track her down and bring their four-legged love back home.
From Pittsburgh, Penny headed to Baltimore where she was looked after by a good samaritan with a Vizsla of her own. When Alaska Airlines got wind of their situation, they offered to fly Penny back home for free!!!
Watch Penny’s homecoming below =)
Penny’s humans also posted this wonderful thank you to all the people who helped bring Penny home to them:
A wonderfully happy ending all around.
