After her Chihuahua Tooners passed away at the age of 13, Candy Johnson was understandably having a hard time.

“She loved him dearly and had a hard time coping with losing her best friend,” her son Adam told The New York Daily News. “She cried a lot, and became lonely due to not having a dog around when she was home.”

So, her son and the rest of the family decided to surprise her with something guaranteed to make her smile: A new puppy!

Watching the instant bond both Candy and her new puppy (now named Miss Gigi) form, it’s clear that there’s nothing like puppy ruv! 🙂
