Dogs Celebrating Arbor Day THEIR Way

Dogs love trees, especially as bathrooms. Other than the fire hydrant, no singular entity is favored more by pups for bathroom purposes.

- “Hey, I don’t tell you how to pee, so don’t tell me how to do it.”
Dogs can climb, some surprisingly well. While it is well known that cats are the dominate climbers, some dogs can hold their own against the feline nemesis. It’s always funny to stumble upon a dog chilling in a tree, happy and without a care in the world.

“I can see the horizon from here and it makes me wonder…there are so many trees to pee on, so little time.”
However, some dogs just can’t reach the branch they want…
Trees give us the branch, the dog’s oldest and favorite toy. It never ceases to amaze me how dogs will find a certain stick or branch and never let it out of their sight, even if said branch is much too big.
Dogs + Sticks = Fetch. Fetch is probably the all-time greatest human-dog interaction. Hooman throws it, dog brings it back. A simple concept that makes us smile and makes our canine pals extremely happy. Trees, we appreciate this.
Dogs help give back to trees. To be honest, the photo below was just too cool not to share. A dog pulling a wagon with a tree in it? Awesome.
Sometimes, however, the tree can be the enemy of the dog. Case in point…

“Um, so you probably won’t believe me, but there was a fat man in a red coat attacking the tree and I stopped him.”
Nevertheless, dogs and trees will be forever linked. So this Arbor Day, please take the time to thank a local tree.
