I quit playing guitar in middle school because after 2 years of lessons, I could only do a very shoddy rendition of “Lean on Me.” I was bored, I didn’t practice, and I thought finger callouses were way grosser than they were hardcore. Look, I was 12 and I knew nothing. The point is, I resigned myself to the fact that I would never play an instrument. But had I known THIS was an option, I might be on the lineup for this year’s Bonnaroo right now.
Using a delightfully creative array of sounds coming from a Bulldog, South African musical comedy duo Derick Watts & The Sunday Blues have created the song of summer. I don’t know how much radio play this jam will get, but it is seriously very, very catchy. Listen for yourself. I recommend bumping this track while cracking open a beer and a window, because you are about to enjoy the breeze with a dog who uses a fart to drop the beat.
