If you don’t live in west Texas, or aren’t a San Diego Padres fan, you might have never heard of the Triple-A Padres feeder team, the El Paso Chihuahuas. (I promise, this will get interesting.)
If you’ve never been, minor league baseball is kind of America’s best kept secret. The tickets are cheap and usually in your backyard, and you get to sit and eat junk food while watching the next Derek Jeter snag grounders or the next Barry Bonds (minus the performance enhancing drugs) pop one into left field. Plus some parks (major and minor league) have dog days during the summer.
So the El Paso Chihuahuas recently grabbed headlines with their pawsome new uniforms. They’re like regular uniforms from the back, but then POW! Chihuahua face. Check ’em out:

Unfortunately, the El Paso Chihuahuas won’t be wearing these magical uniforms forever–just on August 3rd, their “Bark in the Park” night, where dogs will be welcomed into the stadium and the uniforms will be auctioned off, with all proceeds going to the Humane Society of El Paso.
