Henry Bear the Border Terrier is having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day with his new fall jacket. His human, Melanie Russell, thought that maybe Henry needed a bit of extra layering now that the seasons are changing, but this tiny tot is mad, and he didn’t take it out on Mom. He brought his frustration directly to the attention of Pets at Home, who, for some reason, allowed her to purchase the coat.

Very aptly written for someone with no thumbs, Henry Bear typed up a disgruntled note to scold those responsible:

Along with being aghast the stores’ customer service, Henry is clearly within his rights to complain after the puffy strait-jacket made him walk funny. Lucky for him, Pets at Home agreed completely:

To be fair, Henry’s mom had her heart in the right place.

“We treat him like our child and never stop spending money on him, and I […] thought it would make him look smart through the winter. But as soon as I put it on he completely changed. He refused to walk anywhere and just pulled this face as if to say: ‘What are you doing to me?'”

The hundreds of dogs wearing jackets this winter are tucking their tails in shame for you, Melanie. How dare you care about Henry’s comfort. Simply appalling.

Fortunately for the Russells, it turns out Pets at Home must have appeased Henry just enough, because the pup extended forgiveness on behalf of his human. The company responded promptly, offering to put photos of Henry’s parents in-store with the label “known troublemakers” so that they won’t be so careless in the future.

And in a very kind and generous gesture, they offered Henry a gift voucher to spend on any toys of his choosing. Chris the customer service guy knows what he’s doing:

If you could put your paws to work and PM us your address, I’ll get your voucher out in the morning so that you can spend it this weekend on lots of LOUD toys just to remind your mum and dad who’s boss.

We like you, Chris. And we think Henry does, too.
