I’m the proud human of a beautiful pup I named Lady. She has always had food to eat, unlimited butt scratches (far superior to belly scratches, trust me), and a warm place to sleep at night. She is also now a part of the BarkPost family, so she’s definitely living the life.

"Gee, thanks for the BarkBox but like can you just let me be a dog and stop posting everything to social media?"
“Gee, thanks for the BarkBox but like can you just put the camera down and let me be a dog for once?”

I like to think I’m a good human to Lady. Unfortunately, that doesn’t mean my dog doesn’t get into trouble from time to time. And, for some reason, she tends to do it outside more than indoors. Like that time I decided to try my hand at gardening and she decided to have feelings about it:

To be fair, she gave me many warnings that she was displeased with my choices:

And then this happened:

Look at that disaster. Look at that face. She has zero regrets about having ruined my dreams of becoming a gardening extraordinaire.

I’m not the only one who has a pup that likes acting out in public (the better to shaaaaame you with, my human!) Here are 6 other BarkPost pups who wanted an audience while getting into some mischief out in the wild.

**This is all unfortunately 100% true, by the way.**

1. “But how else could I get the delicious scent on my body?”

freenz

2. “I’m sorry, is there a better way to scratch one’s back?”

dog uses bushes for back scratches

3. “He stole my heart and I tried to steal a kiss. Sue me.”

haley

4. “Way to ruin my fun, human.”

dog likes dead seals

5. “DON’T RUN. LOVE ME, YOU DOE-EYED BEAUTY.”

dog likes deer

6. “I go bowling for pigeons.”

What all of these pups have in common is that they’ve engaged in hilarious dangerous behavior that leaves them open to nasties like fleas and ticks AND JUDGMENT FROM THEIR HUMAN BUT DO THEY LOOK LIKE THEY GIVE A PUP?

Your pup might not know (or care, if we’re being super honest) about fleas or ticks, but you definitely don’t want any of these to hitch a ride on your mischievous pupper. Make sure you’re up to date on your pup’s flea and tick control product so you have less to worry about when you take them outside.
