With St. Patrick’s Day around the corner, talk of luck is in the air. Folks are dressing their pups in green and sporting four leaf clovers to try and capture the luck of the Irish!
But luck is such a fickle thing. We never know if our pups will be lucky or unlucky. If only there was a way to tell if they’ll be lucky or not. Well, you’re in… luck.
The pet insurance company Petplan compiled data from the year 2014 to learn the names of the pups who visited the vet the most that year. So even though we can’t tell you how lucky your dog might be, if their name is on the list below, you might be able to guess how unlucky they are.
Here are the top ten unluckiest names a dog can have (and the dogs that have them):
“I know what to do when life hands me lemons. But what do I do when it hands me a whole tree?”
“My name is unlucky? You know, before you adopted me everyone called me Frank.”
“If I were a dog I’d certainly be worried. Thank goodness I was born fabulous!”
“Sigh. If only they’d named me Treat.”
“I wouldn’t let me get too close to that candle if I was you.”
“Crap. Locked out.”
“Since you named me Emma, could you at least have the decency to buckle my seat belt?”
“Wait… I can poop ANYWHERE out here? And they call me unlucky…”
“Lemme drive. What could possibly go wrong?”
“Whoa! Watch where you’re stepping. Some of us around here are a bit accident-prone.”
Apparently “Oscar” was a very unlucky name, too.
