This Twitter Account That Rates Dogs Is Seriously The Best Thing Ever

Now why haven’t we thought of this? We love dogs, look at literally hundreds of pictures of dogs a day. But I guess the weirdly specific humor of WeRateDogs can only be matched by a bored college kid (Ugh, it’s always bored college kids!). Created on November 15 by a student named Matt, the account does exactly what its title implies: rate photos of dogs submitted via DM. Here’s a taste:
This is Jeph. He is a German Boston Shuttlecock. Enjoys couch. Lost body during French Revolution. True hero 9/10 pic.twitter.com/8whlkYw3mO

Meet Olive. He comes to spot by tree to reminisce of simpler times and truly admire his place in the universe. 11/10 pic.twitter.com/LwrCwlWwPB

This is Churlie. AKA Fetty Woof. Lost eye saving a school bus full of toddlers from a tsunami. Great guy. 10/10 pic.twitter.com/li2XYBVuAY

Don’t expect to take WeRateDogs seriously. Their captions are over-the-top and hilarious, leaning on unusual pictures of dogs in weird locations or positions. Sometimes they do non-dogs, too:
Super rare dog. Endangered (?). Thinks it's funny. Mocks everything I say. Colorful af. Has wings (dope). 9/10 pic.twitter.com/BY8nQAMz0x

What a dog to start the day with. Very calm. Likes to chill by pond. Corkscrews sticking out of head. Obedient. 7/10 pic.twitter.com/0nIxPTDWAZ

And non-sentient beings aren’t left out either:
Never seen dog like this. Breathes heavy. Tilts head in a pattern. No bark. Shitty at fetch. Not even cordless. 1/10 pic.twitter.com/i9iSGNn3fx

The account has grown in so much popularity within its short life that it has already spawned a copy cat. But WeRateDogs maintain that they are the originals. To be honest, we don’t really care. More pictures of dogs, please!
