Wallace the Pit Bull wasn’t even sure if he would see his 11th birthday, due to being diagnosed with cancer. However, Wallace beat the odds and beat cancer! So his owners, Roo Yori and his wife, decided to throw him the birthday party of a lifetime!
Wallace was rescued from a shelter by Jim Gorant and his wife days before he was to be put down. They trained Wallace and made him a champion frisbee dog! He won the 2006 Cynosport World Games and the 2007 Purina Incredible Dog Challenge National Championship for flying disc.
Unfortunately, Wallace passed away in late 2013. Towards the end of Wallace’s life, Jim wrote a book about the champion pup and how he enlightened people on the many misconceptions of the pit bull breed.
