When Van Gogh was really feelin’ it and knew he was having a good hair day, he’d paint himself. He didn’t know it at the time, but today Gogh would have just taken a selfie. Instead, the world gets to enjoy his bright orange ‘do in a museum instead of Instagram.

Van Gogh is sort of like dogs. Except, well… dogs are feelin’ themselves all the time. There’s no such thing as a bad hair day, or any worry of having something in your teeth. Dogs also can’t take selfies (usually), so Sum Leung of Woof Models, where the art is all about dogs, took it back to the good ol’ days—Van Gogh portrait-style.

In a cute ‘n clever animated short, Leung and videographer Sohail Kayani immortalize some sassy dogs in playful tongue-in-cheek illustrations of San Francisco neighborhoods. San Frandingo is chock full of pups who are totally rockin’ it, and we just can’t wait to see what cities come next.

Like this nerdy SoMa Google-Poodle…

… this culturally hip Mission mutt…

… and the Huey, Dewey, and Louie Haight pups.

You can purchase some of Leung’s canine prints from her shop on Woof Model, or you can style your own dog and have a one-of-a-kind portrait made just for you. The dog park’s the limit!

The only downside to these humanized pups? You’ll be seeing them in all your neighborhoods now.
