One of the best things to come from the age of the Internet is food delivery, which allows lazy humans to grocery shop and order meals from the comfort of the couch. Added bonus? Limited human interaction!
However, when we bring deliciousness into our home, we inadvertently tease our dogs with food they can’t eat. Luckily, some dog-loving delivery services like Instacart and Postmates have added special pup-friendly ordering options so your best furry friend doesn’t miss out on all the glorious grub.
With Instacart, for example, you can now shop for both yours and your dog’s groceries in one place and have them delivered to your door at a time that fits your schedule. Depending on where you live, Instacart works with every grocery store, from Whole Foods to Costco, and offers a variety of dog food brands for your pet to choose from.
If you and your pup are looking for a midnight snack, Postmates delivers from several restaurants with dog-friendly menu items. For instance, if you guys are craving some late-night sweets, Sprinkles can supply a red velvet cupcake for you and a doggie cupcake for your pup.
Delivery services also partner up with animal organizations to provide special treats for our four-legged friends. For the week of April 11-April 17, food delivery service foodora teamed up with Australian food brand My Dog. Residents of Sydney and Melbourne who ordered from certain restaurants received a “My Dog doggy bag” free of charge.
The next time you order food to dine in, double-check to see if there’s something on the menu for your dog, too — otherwise, you won’t hear the end of it.
