Ground-Breaking Device Will Drastically Reduce The Number Of Dogs Who Die In Hot Cars

Now that summer is upon us, we bipeds look for ways to beat the heat. Just being outside in the summer sun can drain us and cause heatstroke. So, we hit the beach, grab a cone from the ice cream truck, or visit the local pool.

But, dogs can’t do these things, at least on their own. Rising temperatures can be even more dangerous for them than they are for hoomans, particularly if you leave your pupper in the car, where temperatures rapidly rise to deadly levels.

Sometimes the idea of bringing them along with you can be tempting, but the dangerous of doing so could cost you your best friend. William Loopesko of Go Pawsible has a solution: an air conditioning system called Pup Waggin’ that allows you to track the car’s temperature with your phone.

The product is still in the testing phase, but they’ve recorded a 40 degree difference between a car with a Pup Waggin’ and a car without after an hour. 10 months from now, this car cooler should be available for $500 and you could travel with your best friend for up to two hours without too much worry.
