is a 28-year-old photographer from Norway. What makes him special is that he quit his regular ole' 9-5 job to do something most of us could only wistfully dream of doing.
He now spends his days hiking, camping, adventuring and wandering around Norway's sprawling wilderness, with his beautiful Husky, Akiak.
Lucky for us, he captures these amazing adventures on his camera and shares them all on his Instagram
"I've had Akiak since he was a puppy," says Vikse in an interview with BarkPost. This Norwegian native says that his friend's Husky had puppies and when he went over to see them he was instantly drawn to Akiak.
"I realized he was the dog for me."
He named the Husky puppy Akiak which is an Inuit name for brave, inspired by the pup's thirst for exploration.
The 4-year-old Husky and Vikse have been adventuring together every since Akiak was a pup.
Vikse now travels around Norway working in construction and helping build big buildings as it gives him the flexibility to spend tons of time with Akiak.
Of his bond with Akiak he said, "He's my best friend, I love him more than anything and I like to believe the feeling is mutual."
Akiak seems to love being out and about with his human too.
To check out more of his adventures you can follow him on Instagram.
“Imagine, being all alone, just you and your pup, you’re looking up at billions of stars and you can sleep wherever you want. The air is so fresh, you feel like a new person. It’s the most precious moments with my dog. Thats why I love skiing at night, under the stars far away from any city lights. Those moments are truly something everybody should try at least once with their dogs,” says Vikse.
