Read: It’s The Fox and the Hound, but the real deal! When Gary Zammit, a wildlife ranger in Cornwall, Britain, found a fox cub abandoned in a puddle, he had no idea that the animal and his dog Barney would get along so well.
See the resemblance?
The fox (named “Forrest Stump” after his bit of a tail, and nicknamed “Forrest”) was nursed back to health by local vets and returned to Zammit, where he quickly hit it off with Barney. They seem to be kindred spirits, as they have very similar histories—both were found by Zammit, apparently abandoned; and both are missing most of their tails.
Because Forrest is not equipped to return to the wild, Zammit has offered him a home with Barney. The duo are popular with visitors to Feadon Farm, a nearby wildlife center where Zammit works. See their amazing connection for yourself!
