So Sebastian was actually 100% correct when he warned Ariel that going above water was a big mistake. Turns out the seaweed is not always greener on the other side, unfortunately for these ocean dwellers.
Lila the Labrador is super pumped and ready to go when her dad gives the signal. She launches herself off the boat and into the Florida waters to nab unsuspecting crustacean on the ocean floor, but it wasn’t always lobsters she was after. Alex Shultze, cofounder of Devoted to the Ocean, trained Lila to dive for creatures first in his pool with a PVC pipe.
He started on the stairs to get her comfortable having her face underwater, and slowly graduated to a full-on dive into the deep-end off the elevated jacuzzi ledge. Soon Lila could distinguish between what was good to grab and what wasn’t, and now she’s the sole seafood provider for the household.
We only wish we can learn to start the weekdays with the same no-nonsense attitude.
Also, someone should tell Atlantica that not all their citizens got the safety message.
