What could be better than wearing a cute flannel while opening presents under tree and knowing 10% of what you spent on it went to help shelter dogs in Los Angeles? Maybe winning 100 million dollars. Maybe. Other than a life changing and spontaneous inheritance, nothing in this world is better than the combined feeling of being cozy and kind!

That’s why drummer/animal lover Jess Bowen and Boston based designer/animal lover Nicholas Mauro partnered up with LA based creative agency Marendo Group to create these amazing, puppirific flannel shirts for a cause.

After Jess fostered a dog from a Los Angeles area shelter for a period of time, she realized how few volunteers these shelters have and subsequently how much help they needed from us. Using this as a catalyst, she and Nicholas, a designer who is known for giving back whenever he can, were introduced via The Marendo Group to create a garment which would both appeal to dog lovers and help raise money for shelter dogs.

Needless to say, the two were incredibly successful in their endeavor. The animal shelter Bark N’ Bitches was chosen as the recipient of the donations, and Jess and Nicholas are eager to continue working on future ventures together which can help benefit shelter dogs in areas all across the country, not just Los Angeles.

If you’re interested in buying one of these dogtastic flannels, visit their online shop and proudly wear your “puppies over people” flannel! Because we all know it’s true!
