We all have those nights when we can’t bear to step one foot out the door. All we want to do is curl in bed with our pup, read a great book or binge some Netflix. We rejoice at the thought of ordering Chinese, lighting a candle, plugging in the speakers, getting out an extra fuzzy blanket, and just zoning out with our dog.
Okay, who are we kidding, those nights are actually every night.
Here are 12 things you’ll need for your cozy night in:
1. Rescued Wine Mimosa Candle: $25
The first step to every girl’s night in is to light that candle that will set the mood. “Rescued Wine” candles smell like all kinds of fancy wines, and with every candle purchase, a portion of the money goes to dog rescue groups.
2. Dogs Mug: $16
To go with a sangria smelling candle, a girl can always make her own warm wine cocktail, complete with all kinds of fruit, and put it in this mug with ALL the pups.
3. French Bulldog Fleece Blanket: $34.70
Keep warm in this adorable fluffy fleece custom made on Zazzle with little bug-eyed love buggies staring at you from the blanket (and probably in real life too, let’s be serious).
4. Coasters, Date Night: $29
Since it’s date night for you and your pooch, it’s only appropriate to set the warm wine down on one of these coasters from BarkShop, which feature vintage artwork by Constance Depler Coleman.
5. “Dog Hair Don’t Care” Wine Glass: $14.97
If you’re sipping out of a glass, you might as well do it on one that gets to the heart of how you live your life – covered in dog hair. These are hand-painted from CoraVina on Etsy.
6. Bulldog Wine Bottle Stopper: $18.50
Put an adorable cork in it with this stopper. This little guy is hand carved, and you can choose between a red or blue collar.
7. Pug Pillow: $55
Pile these cuties up on your bed or make a pillow fort with them and film your pup knock it down! The pugs are hand-sketched by Fenella Smith and based on her two rescue pups, and the pillow are made of 100% Scottish linen!
8. Andi’s Famous Plush Dumplings: $16
Your pup can “eat” his own little dumplings (with cute, little faces!) as you stuff your face with veggie stir fry and fortune cookies from your favorite local delivery place. Andi’s Famous Dumplings are best for smaller pups who won’t swallow them, because they are only for play and not for noms. Each one has a squeaker in the middle for extra fun.
9. Pizza Plush: $8-$12
A night in without pizza is kind of a missed opportunity, and that goes for your dog, too. A small slice of this plushy pizza is $8, medium is $10 and large is $12. You literally cannot go wrong introducing a form of pizza to your pooch.
10. Weiner Dog Decal: $12.03
Rep your pooch by sticking these on the computer, iPad or TV on which you’re watching Netflix (or Kindle if you’re reading).
11. Dog Nail Stickers: $4.48
If you get bored while you’re watching and want to multitask, these are the perfect add-on for a pup-tastic manicure.
12. Dogs Trust Notebook: $14
There’s nothing like having a glass of wine and then writing some poetry – make that paw-etry. Write down a few sonnets about your pup or some whimsical haikus about dog hair in this pupified notebook.
