Ace is a service dog in training and is studying up to be a guide dog. This past December, he went to Disneyland with volunteer Sandy Steinblums as part of his training exercises. Sandy was helping Ace with obedience and socialization.

The pup got an unexpected surprise when he encountered a dog three times his size – Pluto! Watch what happened in the video below:

So Cute!!! Service Dog in training gets to meet his favorite character Pluto!

Of course, Ace was “on the job,” but every once in awhile, it’s nice to let a service dog just be a dog – and I say that as a service dog handler, myself. Sandy says that this play session didn’t last very long. You can see her correct Ace in the video. She has him do a down/stay. Even though his tail is wagging furiously and Pluto is still nearby, the doggie obeys the command! What a good pup!

Special thanks to Sandy and all those who dedicate their time to training service dogs. Your work is invaluable.
