Smallbatch Pets Inc., a pet food brand sold in California, Colorado, Oregon, and Washington, is voluntarily recalling one lot of their Duckbatch Sliders. They items may be contaminated with Salmonella and Listeria.
The affected products have the Lot number CO27, a Best By Date of 01/27/2017, and a UPC of 713757339001. The items were sold in local retail locations between 2/23/16 – 3/10/16.
Smallbatch, based in California, locally sources its ingredients, which include meats free of hormones and antibiotics, as well as organic herbs and vegetables.
Salmonella and Listeria can negatively affect both humans and pets. Symptoms include fever, diarrhea, lethargy and loss of appetite, among other health concerns. Currently, no consumers have reported adverse health effects from these products.
