In paw-nor of the ASPCA’s “No Pet Store Puppies Day,” we bring you the heartwarming rags-to-riches story of Instagram celebri-pup, Toast Meets World. “No Pet Store Puppies Day” aims to end the cycle of abuse and neglect by spreading the truth behind pet store puppies’ origins.
Toast and Muppet are two happy Cavalier King Charles Spaniels living it up in New York City.
Toast is a famous fashionista, and Muppet is her trusty sidekick. Although it might seem like this dynamic duo leads the perfect life, this wasn’t always the case.
Toast and Muppet were both rescued from puppy mills, which are awful places that unfortunately supply nearly 100% of dogs found in pet shops or online stores.
The owners of these businesses over-breed the mothers and fathers then discard them with no regard for health or happiness.
When Toast was adopted, she had to have all of her teeth removed. The poor quality of food and life at her puppy mill had caused her teeth to rot.
Now, Toast’s tongue flops out all the time, but that hasn’t stopped her from smiling.
When Toast isn’t modeling…
Or sleeping… (Which she does quite a bit.)
Or wearing tiny skis…
…Toast is on a crusade to end the suffering of fellow pups who are stuck in puppy mills, with Muppet by her side. #AdoptDontShop!
