There’s a new student at Homestead Elementary in Chippewa Falls. He’s 10-years-old, loves literature and is super popular. Or should we say pup-ular?! Jack, a trained therapy dog, visits the school twice a week. After Jack’s visits, the kids are happier and more focused.
“I love reading to him,” third-grader Franklin Brewer said.
“I can focus on the book and he listens,” second-grader Derek Zakrzewicz said.
Jack was in bad state seven years ago, but got a second chance when he was rescued by Staish Buchner. Jack’s visits with Buchner during his surgery recovery planted the idea that Jack would make a pawfect therapy dog. Let’s hear it for lending a helping paw to those in need!
